The Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer I, also known as “The Golden Lady”, took three long years of Gustav Klimt until it was completed in 1907.

In the portrait, we can see that only his face and arms that were represented in oil, realistically, almost everything else is golden and it is confusing for the viewer. A mixture created using leaves of gold and silver was used in the painting, marking one of the last works of the artist’s so-called golden period.

The work was once one of the most expensive paintings in history, no wonder, it represents a portrait of a time of splendor in Paris and Vienna.

Our NFT pays tribute to the beauty of the work, the delicacy of the details and to one of the greatest painters of all time.
